I love that each of the instruments has its own breathing space and the many suggested melodies that creep up in between.

The first track is a bit out of bounds compared to the rest of the album, which is a prime example, in my opinion, of cinematic moody jazz, very low tempo, and full of dissonances. It would not be out of place as the soundtrack for a David Lynch movie.

My search for (quality) Noir Jazz brought me to dark places. Even on Bandcamp I found filth and noises I never wanna hear again. Manet makes dark jazz dark and obscure, but never aggressive. Bought the lot, skipped a bit and kept the beauties....
